Kathy and David Geist casually pursued B&B ownership until they discovered Arcady Vineyard Bed and Breakfast in Central Virginia. They jumped on the opportunity to bring Kathy back to Virginia where she spent her formative years and return David to beautiful wide-open space in the country similar to properties he grew up on in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Kathy most recently served as Innkeeper for an historic country inn in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and David spent many years in management for a major tire and automotive service company. They both feel privileged and honored to carry on Arcady Vineyard Bed and Breakfast’s established reputation as a consistently top-rated area B&B.
The goal or mission statement at Arcady Vineyard Bed and Breakfast is to provide a luxurious but casual and relaxing getaway, where our guests’ day-to-day responsibilities end at check in. As Innkeepers and your hosts, Kathy and David strive to have all the information you need for your stay, and special extras designed to pamper you and acknowledge your special occasion if you are celebrating with us. They are especially geared towards the winery, brewery and history enthusiast due to the rich selection found here in the Charlottesville area.
Last but not least is our welcome canine, Coco. We adopted Coco from a breeding farm in Louisa County in 2019 when she was two years old. Coco is a smaller stature standard poodle and absolutely LOVES greeting our guests after breakfast service is complete. If you chose to stay at your table for a bit, she will gracefully make the rounds to let you know you are welcome here at Arcady Vineyard Bed and Breakfast! She does not shed or bark and does not enter guest rooms as we keep her upstairs in our living quarters or out on our acreage where you may see her playing while supervised.
